WHAT IS THE EAST AFRICAN BUSINESS COUNCIL?
- The East African Business Council (EABC) is the regional apex body of Private Sector associations and corporates in the East Africa with a single purpose of driving the East African Community integration process through trade and investment. To achieve this EABC works with the public sector, East African Community (EAC) institutions, the academia, and the business community to unlock economic potential through increased physical access to markets, enhanced trade environment and improved business competitiveness.
- In 28th- 29th November 2019, The EABC organized the High Level East Africa Business and Investment Summit which held in Arusha, Tanzania. The summit was the platform for business people and ministers and government senior officers from the regional member states to have dialog on relevant agenda that will enhance trade environment and develop new trade tariffs and policies that will drive the process of unlocking economic market potential for investors and business people to have smooth business environment operations within the region.
